ABOUT US
American Classic Antiques (ACA) is owned and operated by Richard and Jane Carter. Jane was born and raised in Mooresville, North Carolina, while Richard grew up in Albemarle, another small southern town closeby.Richard owned a commercial auto claims business in Florida and Jane was a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker. Upon retirement in 2008, they moved back to Mooresville, as they always had known they would do.
After moving back to Mooresville, in 2008 they started a new business as owners of an Antique Mall and the rest is history.
Dennis White joined ACA in the position of General Manager in 2010. Dennis was instrumental in developing the consignment division as well as estate sales. He is a licensed Auctioneer and also an Appraiser. You'll often find him doing presentations to various local civic and community organizations on antiques. In addition, Ellen White joined the staff as the Interior Design Consultant. Ellen has valuable experience in interior design using our clients own furniture and accessories as well as quality antiques to enhance any home.
The daily operations of the Mall could not be accomplished without the assistance of Tim Cook and Barbara Erskine who man the front desk. Both Tim and Barbara are knowledgeable in antiques and help promote the business of ACA.
Richard and Jane are very thankful for the success of their business and contribute that success totally to their loyal customers and the outstanding dealers they have in their shop.
A successful company is only as good as those who assist and support the business of the company as well as its customers and Richard and Jane feel very fortunate to have the best of both.
